subaru engine noise is it normal?
I just recently purchased a 2003 Subaru Baja with the 2.5 ltr. 4 cyl. engine. Is it normal for this engine to have sort of a tic tci sound borderline light knocking sound? The dealer assured me this is a normal characteristic of Subaru engines. Yes, just think of the old VW beetles. Same type of engine, just allot more advanced. They are also prone to using more oil .... Sick with at least a 10W30 for warm/hot weather. They tend to get noisy at start up as the miles click away ... but not to
