Problem with starter on 1995 Harley Davidson Heritage?
My dilemma is that i replaced my starter on my evo 1340. it was throwing out pinion gear and meshing w ring gear but making whining noise and not turning motor at all> I replaced w starter from 96 softail w only 6000 miles on it.It was supposedly bench
It is a bad starter clutch. It is very common for them to fail.You can buy a new starter clutch and rebuild it yourself. Make shure to get the ball bearing out of the old one and put it in the new one[ easy mistake it make]
